Crafted in gold-plated brass, Our Beneath the Waves earrings feature four layered petals imitating the texture of clamshells with silver-plated coral branches at the center. The result resembles a blooming flower or in accordance with the aquatic theme, a propeller.
DEFNE’S NOTES
For our first collection, Aquatic Utopia, we took inspiration from the underwater world, particularly the engaging nature of the living corals, and brought deep-sea life to the surface with the buoyancy of a free spirit. The mysteriously complex, intelligent, and spirited creatures living in the cities of the ocean are references to the playful designs, which we finished in 22K gold or silver plating, accented with a plethora of colourful gemstones and handcrafted coral forms.
